Vegan Magazine

I had the honour of illustrating the cover of the 2020 Summer Edition of the Vegan Magazine, which is a seasonal magazine edited by the Dutch Veganism Organization. The theme was "the birds and the bees" so I chose to depict a scene where humans would use their psychological superiority be the caretakers of the natural world, not its abusers.

Anecdote

My process changes depending on the project, and this was a very "carte blanche" one! So the process here basically consisted of creating a black and white outline version and getting the team's approval before exploring colours and textures. When I showed them the outline version, they thought it would be a great opportunity to include it in the magazine as a colouring page for the readers!
